Asteron Life adds Heart Coach to Connected Care
I'm happy to let you know that Asteron Life launched Heart Coach in July 2025. This is a personalised heart-health coaching service that's now part of their Connected Care program, delivered in partnership with Teladoc Health.
This is a great new addition that will give our clients access to expert, personalised support for their heart health. It's a valuable new benefit that strengthens the Connected Care offering.
How the service works
Clients eligible under in‑force Asteron Life policies (and qualifying family members) get access at no extra charge to a specialist cardiac nurse. The nurse will work with GP information to create a tailored cardiovascular plan, provide follow‑ups and check‑ins, and (through a Cardihab partnership) offer a specialist cardiac app for 12 months. The service is operated independently via Teladoc so heart‑health information remains confidential.

You can think of Heart Coach as a proactive wellbeing partner to your insurance protection. It's designed to help people manage their heart health, which is so important here in New Zealand since cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of death. Deaths from cardiovascular disease are largely preventable through early diagnosis and effective management.
Heart Coach is a fantastic addition to the already robust Connected Care program. It joins other great services like access to online GPs, specialist second opinions, mental health support, and guidance on nutrition and fitness. It's all about providing that extra layer of support, specifically for heart health.
